I have reached the pinnacle very quickly. I am now researching 12 Step programs for people addicted to networking sites, chatting on-line, and just general cyber tomfoolery.

If any of you, my dear, invisible friends, have any advice...PLEASE dispense it quickly!

And, no, Matt, incorporating 'crackberry' into my habit doesn't count as helpful advice...

Buried Treasure

(Well, he's not buried yet, but he just recently got married so give it some time!)

I stumbled upon one that I simply had to bookmark and read every week...I have never been disappointed with him...well, not his humor column, anyway!

Yea, Something To Sacrifice!

All these years of living a good and decent life (what, shut up, stop laughing!) have made it very difficult for me during the season of Lent...nothing to give up!!

For those of you non-Catholics, Lent is when we prepare ourselves (for 40 looooong days) for Easter by giving up things that make us happy.

Once I gave up daytime talk shows, VJ gave up soda, Brynna gave up her favorite blanket (now THAT'S sacrifice!), Van gave up sex...no wait, he's not Catholic...never mind!

So, this year I have something to give up; Facebook!

Holy crap did I get addicted fast...

I joined Facebook a long time ago, but hadn't really experienced the site until last week. It started on Wednesday when I added an old friend named Mike and it snowballed out of control really fast! People that I haven't thought of for 26 years (and who I would have SWORN would never remember me!) started popping back into my life! Memories flooding in...good ones, bad ones, embarrassing ones! I haven't laughed this much in a very long time...

I know I am able to sacrifice, I have proven that this week. Here's a list of things I have given up for Facebook surfing and chatting (my favorite part of the game by far!)...Laundry, cooking (but JT is happy 'cuz were ordering pizza a lot!), cleaning, watching TV, talking to my Mom for more than 2 minutes, checking math homework (ouch...this is the one that brings guilt), bubble baths, early bedtimes, and reading, to name a few... :)

The only things that have not been sacrificed are Greta ('cuz she'd never allow it!) and my exercise routine (because I am really enjoying shrinking!)

So, when Ash Wednesday gets here I will totally have something to give up...but I'm guessing I won't be able to!
